About This Song
I really wanted to write a song with a marching band— so that’s where the idea for Storm came from.
One thing: Tick tock click clock thunderbolt and lightning is word-for-word taken from Bohemian Rhapsody. I didn't realize this until the song was done… and it was too much work to redo the vocals— so thanks Freddie Mercury 😊.
Lyrics
Child time to stand up straight
Thunder rolling in this way
Storm piercing through the sides
Blowing up the window shades
If you want to be someone else
You could always start again
But if it's time to transform
Hurricane, Hurricane, Hurricane, become the storm
On the day the lightning came
Did you just hide in shame?
Thoughts took you miles away
Doesn't always keep you safe
And if you want to be someone else
You could always start again
But if it's time for you to transform
Hurricane, Hurricane, Hurricane, become the storm
Tick tock click clock thunderbolt and lightning
Tick tock click clock clouds on horizon.
And if you want to be someone else
There's always new horizons
Always time to transform
You could always, always become the storm, become the storm
